The Big Lies Designed to Pull the Wool Over American Eyes Will Boomerang

Is Israel a democracy, America’s great ally and deserving of Christian support? No on all three counts.

Antony Blinken best conveys the first bold-faced lie, “What separates Israel, the U.S. and other democracies when it comes to difficult situations like this, is our respect for international law and the laws of war.” To say that Israel is a democracy with respect for international law is an outright lie and an insult to human intelligence. Israel is indeed a democracy for Israeli Jews but it is nothing of the sort for Israeli Palestinians. And for non-Israeli Palestinians living in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem, Israel is an oppressive occupying force. In fact Israel has three sets of laws, depending on whether an individual is an Israeli Jew, an Israeli Palestinian or a non-Israeli Palestinian. Israel’s laws and their implementation are a perfect definition of apartheid. Our officials, such as our Secretary of State, should not lie to us, especially when the lie is to justify our (taxpayers) most generous financial assistance to a country. Some Israelis point to the daily demonstrations of Jews in Israel before the October 7 attack as evidence that Israel is still a democracy.
